The 30th Annual MKN 2008 Spring Conference will be held at the Marriott Country Club Plaza Hotel at the Country Club Plaza Hotel that is adjacent to the famous Country Club Plaza shopping and entertainment district in Kansas City. The conference will emphasize the professional expertise of MO-KAN-NE's thirty years and provide an excellent opportunity for professional development enhancement to focus on our powerful network, voice and resources. The Pre-Conference session will be held on April 8th from noon until 6:00 pm and is titled "Yes You CAN! Communicating, Advocating, Networking". The session will be presented by State Initiatives. The opening session of the MKN 2008 Spring Conference is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, April 9th at 1:00 pm. The conference will end at approximately 10:00 am on Friday, April 11th with the COE Update Breakfast with Mr. Alvin Phillips. Conference Registration Information: The 2008 Spring Conference registration fees below include program materials, reception and meals. The pre-registration fee will be honored only if full payment or purchase order accompanies the registration form and is received by March 31, 2008.
No purchase orders or cash will be accepted for on-site registration. Refunds available (less $50.00 processing fee) if written requests are received prior to March 31, 2008. To take advantage of the member registration rate, your membership must be current with the MAEOPP registrar as of March 31, 2008. Hotel Registration: The daily room rate at the Marriott Country Club Plaza is $128.00 for Single/Double/Triple/Quad accommodations. Hotel room rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes in effect at the time of check-in. Members may contact the Marriott using the information below: Marriott Country Club Plaza Hotel reservations must be received on or before March 17, 2008. Please identify yourself as part of the MKN group to receive the conference room rate. Secure off-street parking is available at $12.00 per day Sunday-Thursday and $7.00 per day Friday-Saturday. Advertising: Advertise your program in the 2008 MKN Conference Program. Revenue generated from the 2008 Spring Conference advertising campaign helps to support many of the MO-KAN-NE activities, including scholarships. This advertising is an allowable cost, and it is a great opportunity to promote your program and institution. Prices: Advertising copy must be "camera-ready" and submitted in electronic format to meet the specified size requirements. It is recommended that your ad have a border around it. Ad copy must be submitted in MS Publisher or MS Word documents. Photos/artwork must be in pdf or tiff format. Absolute deadline for submission of ads is March 7, 2008.
